The European Union Migratory Model

The demographic growth, food crises and armed conflicts will continue pushing people to irregular immigration to Europe. In the Sahel region, this situation is particularly evident because violent conflicts are creating first internally displaced persons and later irregular international migration. The European Union has established the “Integrated Approach” to manage migration. This approach is focus on preventing irregular migrants from dying at the sea. For this reason the EU funds support projects that develop the economy and promote the employment of women and young people in countries of transit and origin of migrants.
